Ariana Grande’s engagement to Pete Davidson is over.

TMZ reported the following details:

Sources close to the former couple tell us AG and PD split this weekend, with both parties acknowledging that it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off. We’re told the two still have love for each other, but things are over romantically.

Our source says while things may be done for the couple for now, the two aren’t ruling out the possibility of anything in the future.

Well, you just hate to see stuff like this happen. These two have been in the news nonstop lately. Every time I get on TMZ or any entertainment site, the pair was plastered all over the place. They literally became the most popular couple in the entertainment industry.

According to a different report from TMZ, the death of Grande’s ex-boyfriend Mac Miller was a big part of why the engagement got called off. It just seems like a crazy situation all the way around. Davidson got tatted up for Grande, which seems like a bit of a foolish decision in hindsight. He’s also just been looking very strange lately. I think it’s safe to say there might have been warning signs written on the wall. (RELATED: Ariana Grande Got Proposed To In The Lamest Way Possible)

These two sound like they both have a lot of stuff to work through, and it clearly doesn’t appear like they’re in any shape to be getting married. After all, they only were dating for a few months before getting engaged. No point in rushing anything, especially because both of them are under the age of 26.

If it’s meant to be, then it’ll happen. In the meantime, the greatest love story of my generation is officially as dead as disco.
