Bad news for Steelers fans everywhere today.

Star running back Le’Veon Bell, who has been noticeably absent since the start of the NFL season in an effort to preserve himself once he becomes a free agent in 2019, will reportedly miss week 7. (RELATED: Le’Veon Bell And Stephen A. Smith Get Into It On Live TV)

We’ve heard reports that Bell could return Week 7, 8, 9, or maybe even 10. But we now know to cross Week 7 off the list of contenders, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Bell is not planning to return to the Steelers locker room Thursday.

“Bell watch begins for next Monday, Oct. 22,” Schefter tweeted in part.

Steelers management haven’t heard from Bell as of this weekend, and the plot continues to thicken for everybody except those who have Steelers running back James Conner on their fantasy teams.

Bell is forfeiting more than $800,000 per missed game, which apparently isn’t enough to keep him suited up.
