Former NBA player Sebastian Telfair’s attempt to toss the gun charges against him didn’t go well.
The former Phoenix Suns point guard was arrested back in June in Brooklyn while allegedly in possession of drugs and guns. (RELATED: Sebastian Telfair Arrested)

He tried to get his gun charges thrown out, but Acting Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice John Hecht wasn’t having it. He refused to throw any of the charges out because the police’s search of the car didn’t violate any rules, according to The New York Post. He faces 15 years if convicted on all the charges.

It’s crazy how Telfair’s career worked out. Many thought he was going to be LeBron James 2.0 coming out of high school after “Through the Fire,” a movie about his life, was made. I was even a fan when he was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers.

But it just didn’t seem to work out for him at the highest level of basketball. Telfair was never able to live up to an ounce of the hype, despite staying in the league for several years.
He also made more than $19 million in his career. I’m not sure why somebody with that kind of cash needs to allegedly be rolling around with guns and drugs. Doesn’t seem smart at all.
