The Jacksonville Jaguars might be open to trading superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the following details in part:

Ramsey is slowly but surely forcing the Jaguars into considering a blockbuster trade this offseason, league sources told ESPN.

One league source said he “absolutely” believes the Jaguars will entertain the idea of trading Ramsey, while an NFL general manager said he would not be surprised if that’s the route the Jaguars decide to pursue.

Jacksonville responded to the report Sunday, saying the team is not planning to trade Ramsey.

First off, no player is ever off the table when it comes to making moves in the NFL. Even if the team denied any intention of wanting to dump him, everything has a price in the league. That’s the reality of football.

Secondly, Ramsey has without a doubt the biggest and loudest mouth in the entire NFL. He just can’t stop himself from constantly stirring the pot. I’m not necessarily saying it’s a bad thing, but it’s the truth. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From Week 11 Of The NFL Season)

Teams don’t always want to deal with a guy who can’t keep his mouth shut. Ramsey is extremely talented. I don’t think anybody doubts his ability to play football, but he’s also a massive distraction.

If they do decide they want to go in a different direction, I have no doubt there will be plenty of teams willing to hand over some assets to get him. That’s a fact.

Now, we just have to sit and wait to find out where he’ll be playing next season.
