UFC star Rachael Ostovich has been hospitalized after she was brutally beaten over the weekend.

TMZ reported the following late Sunday night:

Multiple sources tell TMZ Sports … Ostovich was in Honolulu when the incident took place. Our sources tell us she’s believed to have suffered a broken orbital bone.

We’re told Ostovich’s attacker is someone close to her.

Honolulu police tell TMZ Sports they have opened a felony domestic violence investigation. So far, we’re told no arrests have been made.

This is absolutely horrific news on so many different levels. Ostovich is currently slated to fight Paige VanZant in January for the first UFC event on ESPN. She’s supposed to help open up the new era of UFC on ESPN. It was supposed to be a watershed moment for the sport and network. Now, that is almost certainly not going to happen. What a disgusting and disgraceful situation.

I’m seriously almost at a loss for words right now. Ostovich had her whole career in front of her, and now her face might be broken. This is the type of injury you simply might never come back from.

Hopefully, the person responsible for this horrific act is brought to justice quickly. Something tells me the fight in January between her and VanZant is not going to happen. Right now, she just needs to focus on getting healthy.
