Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff recently shared a powerful moment with the family members of the victims from the Borderline bar mass shooting.

Following his game Monday night against the Chiefs, the young quarterback greeted family members of the 12 victims from the shooting that occurred Nov. 7.

He even appeared to tear up at one point as he took off his hat and wiped his face. Watch the incredible video below. (RELATED: CMA Awards Kicks Off With Moment Of Silence For Victims Of California Bar Shooting)

It’s moments like this one that remind us sports are so much more than just whatever the scoreboard says when the game is over.

A crazed gunman took the lives of 12 innocent people that horrific Wednesday night. Those families will be impacted forever in a way that is beyond words. Yet, it’s in the darkest of times we’re reminded just how much we are there for other people, including complete strangers.

Hopefully, Goff’s gesture brought a little bit of happiness to these family members. Major props to him for taking a moment to meet with these people in the face of such tragedy.
