The Los Angeles Rams game against the Kansas City Chiefs drew the highest “Monday Night Football” ratings since 2014.

In a statement released by ESPN, the game drew an 11.3 rating, which means roughly 11 percent of households with televisions tuned in to watch the Rams win a shootout 54-51. That’s a 57 percent bump from the Week 11 “MNF” game last year.

What a win. #VictoryTuesday

This is just about all the proof you need in order to know that people want to watch high-scoring games. They want to see all the big plays, all the superstars out on the field and they want action. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From Week 11 Of The NFL Season)

That’s what puts butts in the seats and eyeballs on the televisions.

DUAL THREAT

The NFL should learn from this and stop scheduling bad primetime games. They should focus on primetime games between teams people actually give a damn about.

Case in point, the Packers vs. Seahawks game on “TNF” is another example of people being drawn. This past week had an incredible slate of games. Learn from this, Goodell!

Give us outstanding games, and the ratings will always be steady. Give viewers terrible match-ups, and people just won’t care enough to tune in.
