The NFL is opening a second investigation into former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt for another suspected incident that allegedly took place in Ohio earlier this year.

The incident purportedly happened this past June, when Hunt was visiting a resort in Ohio. He allegedly got into a verbal altercation with another man attending the resort and when the argument escalated, Hunt punched the man in the face. TMZ reported the following:

Hunt was at the Bay Lodging Resort in Put-in-Bay, Ohio over the weekend — where he had been partying all weekend long. There are photos of Hunt hanging at the pool and the DJ booth.

Sources tell us everything was fine until early Sunday morning when Hunt got into a verbal altercation with another resort guest.

We spoke with the alleged victim who tells TMZ Sports he was punched in the face by Hunt … hard.

TMZ Sports also spoke with a resort official who confirms there was an incident involving Hunt.

It’s important to note that Hunt was not arrested after the alleged incident, and the victim is not planning on pressing charges.

It’s been widely reported that the NFL is already investigating Kareem Hunt for allegedly kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel back in February. No arrests were made but the Chiefs released the former star after surveillance video of the incident was released Friday.

As of now, Hunt is suspended from play while the NFL investigates these alleged incidents. Teams are still welcome to claim him off waivers until the deadline at 4:00 p.m. Monday.
