It seems the entire sports world is waiting with bated breath to see where MLB phenom Bryce Harper will play next.

Yankees general manager and executive Brian Cashman, who’s been with the organization since 1998, indicated his team was not interested in adding the superstar to his roster come 2019.

“At no point all winter have I said I am looking for an outfielder,” Cashman told reporters Monday. “The Harper stuff … I am surprised you are still asking.”

The conversation quickly pivoted to the MLB’s own lightning rod, Manny Machado.

“I have talked to Machado’s representative Danny Lozano,” Cashman continued. “I have had several conversations with Danny Lozano about Manny Machado. We are definitely focused in the marketplace in areas of need and he obviously is available and solves that area of need. So, not going to deny we have had a conversation or two.”

So for now it sounds like Harper won’t be spending much time in Yankee Stadium, but Manny Machado could be bound for the eastern time zone. Stay tuned.
