Pittsburgh Steelers star Le’Veon Bell might be out for the rest of the season, but he’s still dominating NFL headlines on a weekly basis.

And despite recent reports that his teammates hold resentment toward him, his teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster dispelled at least some of those rumors in an interview with CBS Sports Monday evening. (RELATED: JuJu Smith-Schuster Finally Gets His Own License, Vows To Continue Biking)

Smith-Schuster revealed that he keeps in regular contact with Bell — but they don’t always talk about their day jobs.

“The last time I talked to Le’Veon wasn’t that long ago,” he confirmed, adding, “It was actually before this past game … we were online playing ‘Call Of Duty,’ we were just talking about video games and I had a bag of Doritos next to me. And we were just talking about not football. It’s just not about football for him, and we were just talking about how everything’s going.”

Asked whether he harbors any hard feelings about Le’Veon Bell, who chose to sit out all of the 2018 season due to a contract dispute, Smith-Schuster answered, “No. That’s my guy right there.”

No doubt the Steelers are missing Le’Veon Bell right about now. They suffered a shocking defeat by the 3-10 Raiders on Sunday and are barely hanging on to a shot at the playoffs. And with three tough matchups against the Patriots, Saints and Bengals remaining in the regular season, they’re going to need all the help they can get.
