High school senior Charlie Spegal scored seventy touchdowns and ran for 3,356 rushing yards all in one season.

Yet, Spegal still does not have a place to play college football next season. The fullback from New Palestine High School in Indiana sat down with Bleacher Report’s Adam Kramer to discuss his historic season and why he still has not received even a single offer to play college football next year. (RELATED: Nick Saban Reveals How Star QB Is Handling Ankle Injury. Will He Be Ready For Oklahoma?)

Perhaps the reason for the lack of interest in Spegal is the decline of the fullback position in football, but Spegal says that he models his game after one of the greatest running backs in football history.

“I really idolized Adrian Peterson,” he told Bleacher Report. “I like how hard it is to bring him down and how easily he breaks a lot of tackles.”

According to Bleacher Report, Ball State, Cincinnati, and Eastern Michigan have invited Spegal to attend a game, while Army and Navy have also shown recent interest.

In addition to his on-field success, Spegal also holds a 3.36 GPA in the classroom.

Despite all this, he is still waiting on his first offer.
