Alabama football coach Nick Saban shined a light on the grave situation facing three of his suspended players.

Deonte Brown, Elliot Baker and Kedrick James were all suspended earlier in the week for what was believed to be a violation of team rules. It’s now been revealed they might actually have violated NCAA rules, which makes the situation much worse. (RELATED: Alabama’s Football Team Announces Terrible News Before Bowl Game. Should Fans Panic?)

“Those things (the NCAA violations) carry certain consequences, and those players knew the situation. They made poor choices and decisions,” Saban explained to the media when discussing the three suspensions Thursday, according to Al.com.

Saban also claimed the suspensions could carry into next season and not just the college football playoff(RELATED: The College Football Playoff Begins Saturday. Here’s Everything You Need To Know)

The biggest cause of concern is Brown because he has played a massive role on the offensive line over the second half of the season.

There was cause for concern before we knew the full extent of the suspensions, and now there’s a real reason for Alabama fans to be nervous. A violation of NCAA rules could trigger a larger investigation, and there’s not a single program in America that wants to get hit with that.

Luckily for Alabama, they still have more than enough talent locked into the chamber to beat Oklahoma. Clemson? Well, that might be a different story.

Saturday sure as hell is going to be fun!
