Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith appeared to be in high spirits Monday afternoon.
Smith obliterated his tibia and fibula this past season in a game against the Houston Texans. It was a brutal injury, and he has struggled with post-surgery issues.

However, he was all smiles as he watched the Wizards game against the Detroit Pistons in his first public appearance since the injury. His leg was was wrapped up, but other than that, Smith seemed to be enjoying himself.

I’m glad to see the Redskins gunslinger is doing well. There’s really no telling right now whether or not he’ll ever play again, but he doesn’t seem to be living in the dumps. (RELATED: Washington Redskins Quarterback Who Suffered Horrific Leg Injury Gets Some Great News)
That’s important. A positive attitude will do wonders when it comes to recovery and a potential comeback.

I really do hope Smith plays again. He seems like one of the most legit guys in the entire league, and he really does give off the vibe of a guy that you just want to see win.
Of course, he has a long road ahead of him. He’s on the wrong side of 30 and snapped legs aren’t exactly the easiest thing in the world to comeback from.
Best of luck to him. He’s going to need all the help he can get.
