Ben Affleck Defends Terribly Huge Back Tattoo

Ben Affleck has had a back tattoo of a phoenix since 2015, but for some reason, the tattoo has made its way back into the news.

Ellen DeGeneres brought up the tattoo while Affleck was on her show Thursday. DeGeneres mentioned how the back tattoo didn’t get a lot of positive attention.

When asked what it is, Affleck responded, “It’s a phoenix,” to which DeGeneres replied, “Rising out of your a**.”

“Yes, it’s a phoenix rising out of my a**. And I was about to say it represents something really important to me, but you know what? Maybe, just — we’ll skip that,” Affleck told Degeneres. “It’s meaningful to me. I like it.”

I really do love Ellen DeGeneres. She did not hold back when talking about the ink, and supposedly, he lied about the back tattoo when he originally got it. Affleck told Extra that the tattoo was fake for a movie.

So, he knew as soon as he got it that it was terrifying and that no one on this entire earth would like it besides him. (RELATED: Lindsay Shookus Attempting To Be Ben Affleck’s ‘Sober Coach’)

Jennifer Garner has refused to take responsibility for Affleck’s tattoo as he got it right after they split.
