A female bartender in Texas was arrested last week for serving a patron on the same night said patron proceeded to murder eight people.

Lindsey Glass, 27, was charged with serving Spencer Hight enough drinks to raise his blood alcohol concentration to four times Texas’ legal limit on Sept. 10, 2017, even though he was visibly intoxicated and playing with a knife at the bar, CBS News reported Tuesday.

When Glass noticed the knife, she reached out to a mutual friend and fellow bartender. Glass’ friend, after interacting with Hight, called the owners of the bar, who directed them not to call the police.

Hight left the bar and drove to his ex-wife’s home, where he killed her and seven others at a Dallas Cowboys game watch party. He was then killed by the police.

Glass violated the “Sale of Certain Persons” offense for selling “an alcoholic beverage to an habitual drunkard or an intoxicated or insane person.”

Glass’ attorney, Scott Palmer told CBS News in a statement:

Spencer Hight’s decision to destroy the lives of eight other people is unrelated to the four drinks that Hight consumed at the Local Public House on September 10, 2017. Indeed, far from being complicit, Lindsey was the only person who tried to stop Hight. When Lindsey became suspicions of Hight she contacted her manager.  When her manager’s efforts did not resolve Lindsey’s concerns, she followed Hight and then, as her concerns grew, she called 911. Lindsey never expected for Hight to commit this horrific act.

The families of the victims of the shooting filed a lawsuit seeking $1 million dollars in damages from Glass and the bar – the Local Public House.
