Lena Dunham On Louisiana Shooting: ‘White Americans Need To Change’

Lena Dunham said white Americans have a responsibility to change after a black man was shot dead by police in Louisiana this week.

Alton Sterling, 37, was selling compact discs outside of a convenience store when two officers arrived and pinned him to the ground after an altercation, then fired multiple shots into his chest and back.

The 30-year-old actress weighed in on Twitter Wednesday night.

Dunham isn’t the only celebrity to speak out about the recent shootings.

After a Minnesota man was shot during a traffic stop Wednesday, John Legend sent out several tweets.
