The New LPGA Dress Code Is Reminiscent Of ISIS And I Won’t Stand For It
The LPGA’s restrictive new dress code went into effect Monday morning.
The new rules crack down on what female golfers can wear on the course, and it’s sounds like rules coming straight out of the Soviet Union and Stalin’s communist mouth.
The following clothing items are no longer allowed, according to Golf Digest:
Racerback with a mock or regular collar are allowed (no collar = no
Plunging necklines are NOT allowed.
Leggings, unless under a skort or shorts, are NOT allowed
Length of skirt, skort, and shorts MUST be long enough to not see your bottom area (even if covered by under shorts) at any time, standing or bent over.
Appropriate attire should be worn to pro-am parties. You should be dressing yourself to present a professional image. Unless otherwise told “no,” golf clothes are acceptable. Dressy jeans are allowed, but cut-offs or jeans with holes are NOT allowed.
Workout gear and jeans (all colors) NOT allowed inside the ropes
Joggers are NOT allowed
Athletes will be fined $1,000 for their first violation, and the fines double with every following violation, according to The Guardian.
I really didn’t think I’d be spending my Monday morning writing this column and defending the rights of women. I crushed the first episode of season seven of “Game of Thrones” last night, and kind of just wanted to relax and break the episode down. Instead I’m now having to rip apart these stupid rules.
Last time I checked I was standing in the United States of America, and not the Middle East. If Iran wants to start a professional golf league and tell women what they can and can’t wear, then I’d suggest they go for it. But as long as I’m living and breathing in America, I won’t let this garbage go by without speaking up.
Frankly speaking, I think if a woman wants to wear a bikini on the course then she should do it. Should a woman be allowed to wear the shortest skirt she can possibly find? Absolutely, because that’s what freedom is all about.
If you disagree and you want women to cover up then let me know and I’ll buy you the first ticket I can find to Saudi Arabia for you. I hear ISIS also likes to tell women what they can and can’t wear. Shoutout to everybody who supports these new rules. You literally agree with ISIS.
Well done LGPA. There are those of us who believe in freedom and bikinis and then there are those that agree with the clothing restrictions of the terrorists. What a sad day to be a sports fan in America.
