Jennifer Garner’s Performance In ‘Alias’ Is Criminally Underrated

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately, and it occurred to me that Jennifer Garner’s role in “Alias” doesn’t get nearly the respect it deserves.

“Alias” was a hit ABC show that ran through the 2000s, and was incredibly popular at the time. It has also gotten a pretty impressive cult following since the show went off the air thanks to the fact it was streamed on Netflix for several years.

First off, let me say that I am incredibly biased when it comes to this show. I wasn’t even 10 years old when it first aired on television, which is crazy to think about, and I was hooked the first moment I saw Garner as Sydney Bristow.

What wasn’t to love about a smoke show CIA agent who was a complete badass that cracked skulls? It was as if I had written the show myself.

It’s ironic that the show isn’t talked about more, especially considering the fact that people love to talk about how women aren’t shown as strong enough in our entertainment. That of course is a complete and utter lie. Sydney Bristow might have been the first true female champion of entertainment. She could rock a rifle just as well as she could rock lingerie. Maybe it’s the fact she was violent and killed people that nobody wants to give Garner’s performance any credit.

I don’t know how you could possibly not recognize what an awesome show this was, and how great Garner was in it.

“Alias” had the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Bristow and her CIA partner Michael Vaughn were one of the greatest duos we’ve ever seen on television. It was full of twists and turns, and it never stopped being exciting.

Also, how could anybody forget that Bradley Cooper also appeared in this show?
