ESPN brought out the big guns for “College GameDay” in Morgantown, West Virginia.

The “GameDay” cast shot a music video as they sang John Denver’s hit song “Country Roads.”

It’s awesome, and it might have college sports fans and fans of John Denver reaching for a box of tissues.

I had chills after watching them enter the stadium to that song. How amped are all of you right now?

That is one of the greatest songs ever made, and I don’t want to be friends with anybody who disagrees. I can’t even begin to tell you how many beers I’ve drank to that song.

You’re not living until you start dancing in a bar with a country woman as this song plays. Hopefully, you’re a little more graceful and sober than I was.

We need to be seeing this kind of brilliance out of ESPN for every “GameDay” show. I want great songs that make us all nostalgic before a big game. Now excuse me as I go fire up the speakers and blast this song.

P.S.: West Virginia is beating Kentucky by 100 after that kind of opening. It’s going to be ugly.
