I took the NFL’s wonderlic test earlier today, and it’s outrageously easy.

The wonderlic test is a standardized test that all prospects in the draft must take. It’s very similar to the ACT or SAT, and has questions involving patterns and logic. It’s a total of 50 questions in 12 minutes.

The average score is 20 and Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks average over a little over 30. For perspective, the average investment analyst scores a 27. Kind of puts into perspective the intelligence and quick thinking ability of star quarterbacks that they score several points higher on average than people in the finance world. You can take a practice test here.

I scored a 47 on the test. That would give me the seventh highest wonderlic in the history of the NFL. There are people who somehow manage to score single digits. Let me say this crystal clear. If you score single digits on the wonderlic, you should never be allowed to have a bank account, drive or play a pro sport.

You should be sent back to school immediately. I’m an internet blogger, and would be the seventh smartest guy in the history of the NFL. That’s not a great look for the league.

Did I start today thinking that I would find out I’d be one of the smartest guys to ever play in the NFL? No, I didn’t, but we live in a crazy world.

Looks like I’m more ready than ever to compete in the NFL. Take the test and let me know in the comments what you got.
