The Box Office Numbers For ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Are Sickening
The first box office numbers for “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” are rolling in from around the world, and they’re absolutely huge.
The Hollywood Reporter reported the following:
Universal’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is expected to bite off $130 million-$140 million in its international launch this weekend. The sequel, which begins rolling out Wednesday in its first raft of markets, is opening offshore in advance of its June 22 debut in North American theaters.
By Friday, it will be playing in a total of 48 foreign territories, followed on June 15 by China.
Do you hear that noise off in the distance? That’s the cries of a million voices from Disney and the people behind “Solo: A Star Wars Story.”
While “Solo” is absolutely crashing, the newest part of the dinosaur saga is already crushing it at the box office around the world a whole two weeks before it will even hit screens in America! Two weeks! (RELATED: WATCH THE NEWEST TRAILER FOR ‘SICARIO 2: DAY OF THE SOLDADO’)
I was pumped to see this movie from the first moment I saw a trailer. I’m a hell of a lot more interested now that I know it’s generating major attention. Generally speaking, that’s a pretty good sign.
Also, it’s pretty incredible how famous Chris Pratt has become. He went from playing the lovable Andy on “Parks and Recreation” to becoming one of the most famous dudes in Hollywood. Not a bad career at all.
