Diddy may have gone through a lot of names over the years but there’s one thing he’s not wavering on: the national anthem.

In a candid discussion with BigBoyTV, the world famous rapper revealed he’s relieved he didn’t buy the Carolina Panthers because he’s too frustrated with the NFL. (RELATED: Diddy Wants To Buy The Carolina Panthers And Sign Colin Kaepernick As Quaterback)

He revealed he was one of the last two bidders for the Panthers but ultimately ended up losing out to finance mogul David Tepper. He said he wanted to be a part of the NFL badly but changed his mind after the league’s recent ruling regarding the anthem.

“I don’t want to be associated with oppressing black men. I don’t want to be associated with telling grown-ass men what they can do and not do,” he said.

Diddy made his intentions very clear when it came to buying the Panthers. Back in December, he told his Instagram followers that he planned to make Colin Kaepernick the starting quarterback. But Kaepernick remains unsigned and Diddy remains sour about the NFL as a whole.
