Johnny Manziel’s Critics Will HATE What His CFL Coach Said About Him
Johnny Manziel’s CFL head coach June Jones sang praises for Manziel Thursday.
“I’ve been pleasantly surprised the last three weeks what a good teammate he is, how smart he is, how he sees the game. He should be playing in the National Football League, and I believe he will when he gets through with us,” the former SMU and current Hamilton Tiger-Cats head coach told ESPN. He also added, “He’s humble. He’s growing up every day.” (SLIDESHOW: These Sexy Women Love Football)
This is a great sign for Manziel, and it’s something that people who’ve been watching his career probably all agree with.
I don’t think there have ever been questions about whether he can play the game. The questions have always been about whether he could get his head in the right place and onto the field.
The CFL is his last real opportunity to get back into the NFL, and so far, it sounds like he’s doing everything he needs to do in order to signal he’s headed in the correct direction.
Now, we just need to see when he’s finally going to get that starting job. Something tells me it’ll be sooner than later. #ComebackSZN is in full swing, and it looks to be going great.
