Police obtained surveillance footage of a man allegedly trying to perform a hit on a Bonanno crime family associate Wednesday, and the video is unbelievable.

Authorities say an unidentified man rolled up in a black Nissan and allegedly attempted to shoot Salvatore Zottola, 41, for undisclosed reasons. It appears as though the victim was seated in a car passenger seat on Tierney Place Longstreet Avenue, near his massive compound. He rolls out of the car in an effort to evade the shooter but is ultimately shot three times.

He was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition but somehow managed to survive.

You can check out the insane footage below.

Police are still searching for the alleged shooter.  Zottola is reportedly refusing to cooperate with investigators in the hospital.

“Investigators are looking into the possibility that the attack was a bloody message to Zottola’s father, Sylvester — a reputed Bonanno-family associate who himself has been roughed up at least three times since last year,” the New York Post reported.
