Alabama Is Spending A Shocking Amount On New Sports Facilities. Is It Too Much?
The University of Alabama is spending a ton of money to upgrade its sports facilities.
According to Sporting News, they are going to drop $600 million over the next ten years. You can check out a video of the design below. I think it’s safe to say that these facilities look absolutely incredible.

I’m sure there are going to be a ton of people that want to jump in here and claim this is what happens when you don’t pay athletes. That’s a really lazy take. You want to know why Alabama can afford this? It’s because their football team and the SEC are flush with cash. (RELATED: SEC FANS DON’T LIKE TO USE FACTS WHEN DISCUSSING COLLEGE FOOTBALL)
The winners get to feast, and Alabama likely won’t stop eating anytime soon. They win national titles like it’s just a casual event. Yes, as a Big Ten guy, but I can still admit that Alabama is a hell of a football program.
The crazy thing here is that most people upgrade facilities to help in recruiting. I’m not sure how much help the Crimson Tide need in that category because they already out-recruit everybody.
Still, the rich get richer, and nobody is better at it right now than Alabama.
