College Football Coach Awards Scholarship In The Best Way Possible. The Video Is Incredible
FAU football coach Lane Kiffin awarded senior running back Gerald Hearn with a scholarship Monday, and the video is awesome.
Videos of coaches awarding walk-ons with scholarships is not something new. It’s actually become a huge phenomenon the past few years as social media has continued to grow and grow. Every team seems like they’re doing it in the most creative fashion. (RELATED: LANE KIFFIN GOES OFF ON ‘ANONYMOUS’ SOURCES WITH AN EPIC TWEET)
Well, as of right now, Kiffin takes the cake for most impressive. He made Hearn stand in front of the entire squad, ripped him for missing a yoga class because he thinks he’s made it at FAU and then drops the scholarship surprise on him.
Earned not given. Today one of the most humble and hardest workers on our team earned a scholarship.
We had a little fun in how we gave it to him

Ladies and gentlemen, that’s how you do it. None of this corny stuff. Kiffin was letting him have it before giving him the scholarship. Hearn was probably shaking in his boots getting ripped like that in front of the whole team. (RELATED: THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL WORLD SHOULD FEAR WISCONSIN FOR ONE SIMPLE REASON)
Of course, it’s obviously worth it for a full ride. As I’ve said many times before, Kiffin is one of the best coaches in all of college football and he’s a national treasure. I just can’t wait until he’s a coach at a Power Five school again. That day can’t get here soon enough.
