POLL: Which Top College Football Team Had The Best Week 1? Here’s What The Voters Are Saying
People seem to overwhelmingly think that the Alabama Crimson Tide had the most impressive weekend of the top four teams in college football.
I asked voters on Twitter, “Which top four ranked college football team was most impressive this past weekend?”
The voting wasn’t even close. Alabama got 57 percent, Wisconsin got 20 percent, Clemson 12 percent and Georgia 11 percent.
Which top four ranked college football team was most impressive this past weekend?

Before everybody jumps down my throat about Ohio State, let’s remember that they weren’t in the top four in the AP poll this past weekend.
I can’t help but agree with the results here. Yes, as a Wisconsin man, I am still willing to admit that Alabama had the most impressive opening weekend. They dismantled a Louisville team that is supposed to be very solid. (RELATED: SEC FANS DON’T LIKE TO USE FACTS WHEN DISCUSSING COLLEGE FOOTBALL)
Yes, Wisconsin looked great in their 31-point win over Western Kentucky. They ran the ball all over the field. Jonathan Taylor looked great, Alex Hornibrook was impressive throwing the ball, and the team looked great from start to finish. Still, it’s not the same as Alabama crushing Louisville. I don’t know how anybody could have voted for Clemson or Georgia. They both beat FCS teams. Congrats. They might as well have just canceled the game and had practice. Nothing frustrates me more than when top teams play FCS schools and then expect to be rewarded for blowout wins. Give me a break. This is college football. It’s not recess time. Do better.
