Today Is Officially The Return Of ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ – It’s Time To Celebrate

David Hookstead | Reporter

Today is Sept. 5, and that means “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ officially returns tonight.

It’s been a hell of a long wait since we last got new episodes, but our long dark reality comes to an end tonight at 10 P.M. EST on FXX. Oh, how long we have waited for the clouds to part and for the sun to shine again. (RELATED: ‘IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA’ IS ALMOST BACK. HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW)

I honestly have no idea what you’re doing with your life if you don’t watch “It’s Always Sunny.” Who harmed you as a child that your life is so screwed up that you don’t enjoy great comedy? The hit show is arguably the greatest social commentary on television, other than perhaps “South Park.” It’s that great.

This season should also be great because Frank, Dee, Mac, Charlie and hopefully Dennis are tacking the #MeToo movement. That has great comedy written all over it. Will people get pissed? I’m sure they will, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be laughing nonstop.

You can catch me on my couch all settled in by showtime tonight. We’ve all waited a long time for this, and I couldn’t be more excited. Let’s get it!
