Former NBA Star Reveals He Used Drugs Before Games. His Comments Are Bizarre [VIDEO]
Former NBA star Matt Barnes claimed during a recent interview that he used to smoke weed all the time before games.
“We’d have shoot around at like 11. We’d be done by 12. I’d be back to the house by 12:30. You know, roll a joint, smoke it, take a nap, wake up, eat, shower and go to the game,” Barnes explained on the “Red Pill Podcast.” (RELATED: FORMER LAKER: ‘WOULD BE DOPE’ TO SEE KOBE BRYANT PLAY WITH LEBRON JAMES)
He also talked about how he’d been doing it since high school and his experience with gravity bongs.
I can’t imagine what it must be like to be playing against some of the best athletes on the planet while stoned. There’s no way that is a smart idea. Yet, Barnes put up an incredibly impressive career.
I’ve tried to play a few intramural games after some beers, and it never went well. That might have been because of the beer, or it might have been because I just didn’t have NBA level talent. I’m not sure.
What I do know for sure is that the NBA can’t be too pleased one of the league’s most high-profile players in the past 20 years is out here talking about smoking joints before games. I can’t imagine that makes people in the league offices too happy at all. I’m also pretty damn sure that Barnes couldn’t care less.
I’m not going to endorse smoking weed here, but I think anybody who manages to have a 14 year NBA career while high is pretty impressive.
