Here’s What Johnny Manziel Said After Becoming A Starting QB In Pro Football Again

David Hookstead | Reporter

Johnny Manziel seemed to be in high spirits and confident after getting his starting job with the Montreal Alouettes back.

“I have the utmost confidence in the guys up front. I think we just all need to be on the same, communicate and make sure we have our communication down … We want to win more than anything. It doesn’t matter about individual stats or what we do,” the Texas A&M Heisman winner told the media since being named the Alouettes starting quarterback for their upcoming game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Is it finally Johnny Football time north of the border? I certainly hope so. It was supposed to be time for him much earlier but he suffered a brutal hit to the head that has kept him sidelined ever since early August. (RELATED: JOHNNY MANZIEL GETS ABSOLUTELY JACKED UP. Well, he looks ready to roll now that the Alouettes have been handed back to him. It’s time for him to go out there and just start slinging it. I’ve watched a bit of Montreal this season to see how Manziel would play, and they’re trash. They’re straight up garbage.

Forget about anything other than just airing it out. He’s in the CFL to get reps and put stuff on tape for NFL squads. Let it fly, Johnny. That’s what fans in America are waiting to see.
