Cleveland Browns Get Their First Win In Over A Year. It Was A Wild Ride [VIDEO]

The Cleveland Browns finally won a game after beating the New York Jets 21–17 Thursday night.

This game wasn’t just an ordinary game. Not one bit. This game was cemented into history when Baker Mayfield entered the game to replace an injured Tyrod Taylor. That’s when things got wild. The Browns rattled off several scores, took the lead and won the game.

Even as somebody who has been critical of Mayfield plenty of times, even I have to admit that he looked damn good out there.

And of course, those Bud Light fridges got opened up. (RELATED: BAKER MAYFIELD WAS MIC’D UP FOR HIS NFL DEBUT, AND THE VIDEO IS AWESOME)

You couldn’t have scripted it any better. The Browns’ starting QB goes down and then the first overall pick and Heisman winner enters the game and leads the team to victory for the first time in over 600 days. It’s straight out of Hollywood.

I’m still not sold on Mayfield being the next Brett Favre, but there’s no doubt he lived up to the hype last night. Hell of a game, and shout out to all the Browns fans. It’s been a long time coming. They’re arguably the most depressed fanbase in all of sports, and it looks like things are finally turning around.

The only question now is whether Taylor gets his job back or of Mayfield is the guy going forward. Something tells me that it’s going to be the latter.
