The 22nd season of “South Park” began Wednesday night with an episode about school shootings titled “Dead Kids.”

The premise of any show in 2018 about school shootings you would think would either be taken very seriously or just never produced. That’s where “South Park” enters the picture. Not only did they pick up a school shooting plotline and run with it, but the script was downright hilarious.
Think about how dividing the subject matter is; and yet, this episode had Cartman running through a school getting lit up in order to make a math test with Token. Hell, they had Butters strapped with an AR-15 as the hall monitor. (RELATED: ‘SOUTH PARK’ WILL COVER SCHOOL SHOOTINGS IN SEASON PREMIERE. THE PREVIEW IS UNBELIEVABLE)

It’s crazy to say, but I never stopped laughing at any point during the episode. It was hilarious from start to finish. Of course, not everybody was pleased “South Park” was making a joke out of school shootings.
Bruh…. South Park may really be trying to get cancelled. Holy hell.

Tonight’s episode of @SouthPark is about the abject absurdity – and tragedy – of America’s gun violence crisis. The mother, Sharon, is the only voice of outrage and reason. Watch it… https://t.co/VyRTrwWkRu

Let me be crystal clear here. Cartman running around a school shooting, the faux outrage throughout the show, Kyle’s parents both going nuts and the whole premise was absolutely incredible. Including an entire subplot about the “Black Panther” not being liked by a white person being construed as racist had me rolling around laughing.
“South Park” started its 22nd season with a boom, and I don’t care if people are offended. It immediately became an instant classic.
