Tony Romo Reveals If He’s Healthy Enough To Play. Prepare For Fans To Freak Out

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is apparently healthy enough to play right now, should he get a call from a team.

“Yeah, I mean, I’m healthy enough. That wouldn’t be the issue at all, I don’t think. That would be the least of my thoughts when it came to a decision like that, obviously,” Romo said during a Wednesday appearance on “Ben & Skin” when asked if he was healthy enough to go right now, according to TMZ Sports. He also refused to completely rule out a return when one of the hosts asked if the decision was being pondered at all.

It’s comments like this one that make me think Romo really does want to get out of the broadcasting booth and back onto the field. Instead of just saying, “I’ll never play again,” he’s out here stoking the rumor mill just a little bit.

Personally, I love him in the booth. I think he’s incredibly entertaining. On the other hand, a Romo comeback would set the league on fire. I think there’s plenty of fans who would be interested in seeing that.

Only time will tell, but I think it’s clear he still has the itch to play.
