Ed Orgeron Has An Interesting Strategy To Beat Alabama. Here’s What He Said
Trying to stop Alabama’s offense might be a fool’s errand this year, but Ed Orgeron has an idea.
That’s an interesting strategy considering Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s production this year. Tagovailoa has thrown 25 touchdowns to zero interceptions this season, and is widely considered to be the Heisman front-runner. (RELATED: Heisman Watch: This One Player Is Away Ahead Of The Pack)
Forcing Tagovailoa to throw it is probably the worst thing you can do to stop the Crimson Tide. Giving Tua time to throw in the pocket will get you shredded all night long.

The only chance you have of slowing down Tua and the vaunted Crimson Tide offense is by getting pressure on the quarterback and hoping that your home crowd is able to fluster the first-year starter a bit.
It’s a long-shot, but that’s why Alabama is such heavy favorites right now.
