Texans Make Massive Trade. Are They Legitimate Super Bowl Contenders?

The Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots now have serious competition in the AFC.

The Houston Texans, winners of five straight games, traded for star wide receiver Demaryius Thomas on Thursday. The Texans traded a fourth round pick and swapped seventh rounders with the Denver Broncos, who appear headed for a rebuild. (RELATED: NFL Is Adding More Games Across The Pond)

Thomas’ future has been the subject of speculation recently and the Texans are a perfect fit. Houston recently lost star wide receiver Will Fuller for the season and needed to find a way to replace his production if they wanted to live up to their potential this season.

Mission accomplished. Thomas is a star with playoff experience and a Super Bowl under his belt.

The Texans are now legitimate Super Bowl Contenders.
