Minnesota Timberwolves fans can rest easier now.

That’s because one of the team’s star guards, Jimmy Butler, reportedly plans to travel with the team for their game against the Golden State Warriors on Friday. (RELATED: NBA Star Refuses To Play. Should Fans Be Furious?)

On Wednesday, Jimmy Butler sat out the Timberwolves game against the Utah Jazz. His team ended up winning 128-125, but his absence angered fans and confused others.

Butler cited his reason for absence as “general soreness,” but reporters began speculating he was sitting out because he wanted to be traded.

“My body is hurting and I don’t want to go out there and risk an injury, people make stuff up?” Butler told ESPN’s Rachel Nichols. “What are they going to do when I show up and hoop on Friday?”

And while some still believe Butler will be traded by Thanksgiving this year, Butler seems to be focused on the here and now.

And he couldn’t have come to play at a better time. The Warriors are number one in the Western conference with an 8-1 record.
