The Buffalo Bills have cut Kelvin Benjamin.

The receiver, who infamously refused to work on routes in warmups, was let go Tuesday afternoon. He was in the final year of his deal, and made more than 8 million dollars for the season.

Well, I guess teams don’t like employing people who are seen as lazy and not wanting to put time into the process. Imagine making more than 8 million dollars a year, and refusing to run routes in warmups. Are you kidding me? Even though I found it to be funny at the time, he probably should have been cut right then and there. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From NFL Week 13)

He was a star coming out of Florida State, but his pro career has been a bit of a weird ride. He’s had some great plays, and then there’s other times where he appears like he couldn’t care less.

His stats this year were horrible. Prior to being cut, he had one touchdown on the whole year. Those aren’t exactly Hall of Fame numbers. Of course, the Bills not having a great quarterback situation certainly didn’t do Benjamin any favors.

I’m sure somebody will eventually sign Benjamin, but the light on his NFL career will dim quickly if he doesn’t start producing.
