Texas football legend Vince Young was recently arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

The Houston Chronicle reported the following details late Monday afternoon:

Former Texas Longhorns quarterback Vince Young was arrested in Fort Bend County early Monday after being accused of drunk driving — the football star’s second DWI charge in three years.

“The deputy noticed slurred speech and a strong smell of alcoholic beverage,” said Bob Haenel, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office. “(Young) flunked every sobriety test they gave to him.”

Young was arrested at 4:30 a.m. Monday and discharged from Fort Bend County Jail on a $500 bail Tuesday.

This isn’t a great look for Young at all. He went from being one of the greatest college football players to ever step on the field, and now he’s been arrested for his second DWI in the past three years. That’s a tough road to be on. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Greatest Women On Instagram)

You’d think that Young would have more than enough money stashed away to get himself an Uber. There’s no reason for anybody to ever drive drunk.

There’s certainly never a reason for a guy who earned more than $30 million in his career to not have a driver. It’s beyond stupid if the allegations turn out to be true.

It’s a shame Young’s NFL playing days didn’t go as many hoped they would. He was a star in college, and now he’s getting arrested for allegedly driving drunk.

What an incredible fall from grace.
