Halle Berry admitted she really screwed up when she “stupidly said no” and turned down the lead female role for the action filled movie “Speed” in 1994, which turned out to become a huge hit.

In the end, Keanu Reeves ended up starring alongside Sandra Bullock and the movie became a break-out hit for both of them.
Berry, who will star with “The Matrix” star in the highly anticipated third installment in “John Wick: Chapter 3—Parabellum,” said she was a fan of the first two films and was thrilled to get the part.
“I worked six months, probably almost five days a week training,” the actress shared. “I worked with these dogs a lot so they could get to know me and I could get to know them.”
“And I could command them on the day and wrangle them a little bit if things went crazy,” she added.

“We had a scene where we were in Berrada’s (Jerome Flynn) office, when we’re on a rug and we had to take down like 12, 14, 15 some-odd guys together on a rug and I thought, ‘Hmm, how is this going to work? How are we not going to knock each other out and throw our guys? This isn’t going to happen,'” Berry shared.
“And then I remember when we did it I felt so much pride,” she added. “I felt like, ‘Holy sh*t, I just did a movie with Keanu on a rug and we did this sh*t!’ I was so amped. That was the moment that it hit me that I was working with Keanu and I was a part of this franchise that I had loved so long.”
