Johnny Manziel is publicly attempting making amends with his wife Bre Tiesi.

The Texas A&M Heisman winner and his wife had some very public issues lately, and she scrubbed any reference to him on her social media. (RELATED: Johnny Manziel Throws For 48 Yards, Rushes For 20 In AAF Debut)

He’s apparently feels like he did something wrong because he apologized on Instagram Sunday on two photos of them together. He posted the following message:

5/4 HBD B. There would be no life for me without you having come into mine. Through everything we’ve overcome I just want to say I’m sorry. For not being there more and doing what I can to make you truly happy. You deserve it all and then some. Love ya for life

It’s a kind gesture from Manziel, but I’m not sure airing out marriage problems and apologies is a good idea. That kind of stuff should be saved for behind closed doors.

There’s no reason at all the world needs to know about somebody being sorry for “not being there more.” I’m not saying Manziel’s not genuine. I’m sure he is.

It’s just not something the public needs to be aware of.

Now, we’ll have to wait and see what he does in the future. The Alliance of American Football came crashing down in epic fashion, and Manziel’s next destination is almost certainly the XFL.

As of right now, it doesn’t look like his phone is ringing off of the hook with NFL offers. Vince McMahon is likely his only option.
