The Indianapolis Colts didn’t sign Chad Kelly after a weekend tryout.
The Colts brought in the former Ole Miss star to get a look at him, but he wasn’t among the four new players signed to the team, according to ProFootballTalk.
Kelly hasn’t taken a snap of football since the Denver Broncos cut him following an arrest on a trespassing charge. (RELATED: Chad Kelly Will Participate In Rookie Mini-Camp For The Colts)

This is too bad. I actually was pulling for Kelly. As I’ve said before, I love a great comeback story, and the young quarterback has more than enough talent to play in the NFL.
Unfortunately, his struggles off the field have absolutely hampered his career, which is a damn shame.
I really do hope he eventually gets another shot in the league. If he’s actually on the straight and narrow, then why wouldn’t we want to see him get a shot in the NFL again.
People make mistakes, they do dumb stuff and they hopefully learn from it. His arrest cost Kelly his career with the Broncos.
That’s a pretty big punishment, and he had it coming. There’s no question about that.

We’ll have to see if he gets any more tryouts over the summer. My guess is the answer to that will be yes.
