Kyler Murray has inked his rookie deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
According to Spotrac, the former Oklahoma star’s rookie deal is worth a fully guaranteed $35 million, and he’ll get a $23 million signing bonus after being the first overall pick in the 2019 draft. He could lose all his guaranteed money, however, if he decides he wants to take a shot at playing baseball again, according to ProFootballTalk.
Source says Kyler Murray contract has the same baseball language that Jameis Winston’s rookie deal contained. Basically, any baseball voids future guarantees.

Given how much money he’s making from the Cardinals, it would be insanely stupid for Murray to even think about playing baseball while under contract with Arizona.
The Oakland A’s gave him a signing bonus worth more than $4 million, but his signing bonus with the Cardinals is over four times that amount.

I honestly can’t wait to see what Murray does once he gets into an NFL game. He doesn’t fit the mold at all for what you expect a top quarterback to look like on paper.
He’s short, he has some insane wheels on him and he’s just pure electricity. I said for months before the draft that the Cardinals should take him first overall.
They listened, and he’ll open up the season Week 1 against the Lions.
Something tells me Murray is going to be just fine in the NFL, and his critics won’t have much to complain about once he starts slicing and dicing all over the place.
