Colorado football coach Mel Tucker put Nebraska in a bodybag with a recent comment.

Tucker is doing his best to recruit athletes to play for the Buffaloes, but he’s apparently finding that some players would prefer Nebraska. That’s a big mind-boggling to the Buffs’ new coach, and it resulted in an awesome shot from him towards Scott Frost’s squad. (RELATED: Nebraska‘s Football Team Releases Navy SEAL Training Video)

Tucker told the following to the Denver Post when discussing recruiting and the perception around Nebraska:

It’s like, you’ve got to win games before they’ll even consider you. I’ve been through that before, that’s just how it is. There are kids right now that you (ask), ‘Well, who are your top guys?’ And they’ll say, ‘Nebraska.’ And you look and say, ‘Well, what has Nebraska done?’ But in their mind, that’s like way, way better than CU.

I love this unprompted shot at the Cornhuskers, and he’s 100% correct. Tucker is absolutely right on this one, and I don’t care what any of you pro-Nebraska clowns say.

The last time Nebraska was relevant was when they joined the Big 10, and Wisconsin murdered them in their first ever conference game.

It was brutal, and it set the tone for things to come.

You want to know why Nebraska can still recruit? Because Frost is a really good coach and because people still believe the Cornhuskers are elite.

The second part is, of course, complete nonsense as there’s nothing to suggest they’re anything other than a joke these days.

I know Nebraska fans are going to get all triggered and upset now, but it’s true. How about focus on winning something and less on being perpetually outraged by facts you don’t like.

I’ll see Nebraska on November 16. Once Wisconsin smashes them, I think we’ll finally be able to put this debate to rest.
