LSU football coach Ed Orgeron has earned himself a very prestigious honor.

According to Brody Miller, Coach O has been named the Home Depot College Football Coach of the Year.

It’s hard to argue against Coach O winning the award. It’s incredibly hard to do, if not downright impossible. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The LSU Tigers are currently 13-0, they’re the number one team in the playoff rankings, they won the SEC West and won the conference title game against Georgia.

LSU hasn’t been good this year. The team has been dominant.

It’s always fun when guys like Coach O succeed. You always want to cheer for good people. Watching good people succeed is one of the best parts about sports.

In the world of college football, I’m not sure there are many guys who are classier than Coach O. The man is a leader of men, and he’s taken the LSU program to a new level.

Now, he’ll have a fight against Oklahoma on his hands Dec. 28 in the playoff. If that doesn’t have you pumped, then you’re probably not a real college football fan.

I can’t wait to see what he does. Something tells me there’s a very high chance we’ll see the Tigers playing in the national title game.
