Ridley Scott has agreed to a content deal with Apple TV.

The Hollywood Reporter reported the following details on the deal:

Under the multyear pact, Scott and his Scott Free Productions banner will create and develop new projects for the tech company. With the move, Scott ends his years-long overall deal with CBS TV Studios. Sources say the Apple pact is valued in the high-seven-figure range.

This is the definition of a golden decision from Apple. Bringing Scott into the business for Apple TV is genius. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Why do I say that? Well, he only helped create “Black Hawk Down,” “Gladiator,” “Alien” and “American Gangster.”

Ever heard of any of them?

All Ridley Scott knows how to do is make amazing content. That’s just a fact and you’re a moron if you don’t agree.

Anyone who knows anything about Hollywood knows Ridley Scott is the definition of a power player in the industry.

I can watch his movies nonstop and never get bored.

If you want to move the needle in the entertainment game, then you have to get some big names. That’s exactly what Apple TV has done.

I’m so excited to see what Ridley brings to the table. If it’s anything like he’s done in the past, then we’re in for a hell of a fun time.
