Season five of the series “Last Chance U” hit Netflix Tuesday morning.

It’s also the final season about JUCO football that “Last Chance U” will follow.
It’s wild that we’re already on the final season of “Last Chance U” when it comes to football. After season five, it’s pivoting over to basketball.
It feels like just yesterday we got season one. Now, it’s 2020, season five is out and then it’s done with football.
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a huge fan of “Last Chance U.” As a massive college football guy, you just have to watch.
It’s about young men on their final chances to make a major college football program. There’s nothing glorious about JUCO football.
It’s tough, ugly, requires grit and rarely ends in stories of fame and fortune. Yet, it’s a shot, and that’s all many of these players can ask for.
