The United States Marine Corps turned 245-years-old Tuesday.

On November 10, 1775, the Marines were founded, and the rest is history. Every step of the way, the Marines have been there to defend and fight for America. (RELATED: Watching ‘Band Of Brothers‘ Never Gets Old. Here’s Why It’s Such A Great Series)

245 years later, we celebrate the organization’s birthday.

There’s nothing that I love doing more than celebrating all the badass aspects of America. The United States Marines are right near the top of that list.

We’re talking about a military organization that has fought all over the world. Whether the Pacific Theater in WWII, the jungles of Vietnam, the streets of Iraq, or the Mountains of Afghanistan, the Marines have a proud tradition of always defeating the enemies of America.

I have no idea what the future holds for America, and I’m not sure anybody else does either. What I do know is that I’m supremely confident in our ability to thrive as long as we have the United States Marine Corps defending our interest around the world.

Finally, if you haven’t seen “The Pacific,” I can’t recommend it enough. It’s an outstanding series about a group of Marines who fought against the Japanese all over the Pacific.

Happy birthday, and thanks for always having our backs.
