Indiana superstar Michael Penix Jr. is reportedly out for the rest of the season.
Penix suffered a leg injury Saturday against Maryland, and it didn’t look good at the time he went down. Now, it sounds like he’s done for the foreseeable future. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

According to Bruce Feldman, the Indiana quarterback will miss the rest of the season for the Hoosiers because of the leg injury. Feldman didn’t provide specific details on the exact nature of the injury.
No matter what the injury turns out to be, it’s a brutal blow to the Hoosiers.

This is a punch straight to the gut to Indiana and all the fans of the program. The Hoosiers are having their best season in a long time, and Penix is a major part of the reason why.
Outside of a close loss to Ohio State, Indiana has been balling. Now, the team’s best player is out for the rest of the season.
With a Saturday matchup against Wisconsin looming on the horizon, fans should be very nervous.
