The Rose Bowl might not happen in Pasadena this season.

According to Yahoo Sports reporter Pete Thamel, the iconic bowl game, which is a playoff matchup this season, might have to be moved because of coronavirus and restrictions in California because of the virus. Thamel reported that “there are discussions and contingencies about alternative sites and plans for the Rose Bowl this season.” (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Dallas is a potential landing spot for the game, according to the same report.

If the Rose Bowl can’t have fans in CA and there are going to be huge restrictions, then I’m all for moving the game during the pandemic.

I might care less if it wasn’t a playoff game, but it’s the game before the national title. If there’s a place we can play it with fans in the stands, I’m more than open to it.

After all, we’re talking about the most prestigious and iconic bowl game in all of college football, and that’s when it’s not even a playoff game.

This year, the stakes are even higher. I think I speak for college football fans around the country when I say we all support moving the game if it makes the experience better.

Do what must be done, and we’ll live it. Just don’t give fans and players an awful experience.
