Clemson beating Notre Dame put up some monster TV ratings this past Saturday.

According to ShowBuzzDaily.com, the game between the Tigers and Fighting Irish averaged a staggering 9.919 million viewers on ABC. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

It shouldn’t shock anyone that this game put up such gigantic TV ratings this past Saturday. It by far and away had the biggest implications on the playoff.

With a win, Clemson would punch a ticket. With a loss from Notre Dame, things could get dicey. Plus, it was a rematch!

If that doesn’t grab your attention, then you’re probably not a real college football fan.

Of course, Clemson ended up absolutely decimating the Fighting Irish, and both teams ended up in the playoff, which is how most of us expected things to play out.

As I always say, America is in a great place whenever college football is rolling, and that’s exactly what happened this past weekend.
